Flights

The Santa Barbara airport (SBA) is small. Most Crypto attendees fly to a larger airport such as Los Angeles (LAX) or San Francisco (SFO), and then catch a short flight to Santa Barbara.

The Santa Barbara airport doesn't have a luggage belt. Passengers collect in a small shed next to the airstrip, and a few minutes later the luggage is tossed into the shed. UCSB offers a free shuttle for participants staying at the dorms; once you've retrieved your bags, you should call the dorm reception (+1-805-893-2189; copy this number into your mobile phone in advance!) and ask them to send the shuttle. The shuttle is a white van marked UCSB. You won't have to wait long: the shuttle seats several people; the round trip for the shuttle is only 10 minutes; sometimes there are two or three shuttles operating at once.

If you arrive between 01:00 and 07:00 then you'll have to pay for your own shuttle. The SuperRide shuttle is +1-805-683-9636.
