Some examples of Santa Barbara weather, with temperatures expressed in Celsius:

- 16 August 2007:
22 high, 15 low, 19 average, no rain, 6 km/h wind.
- 16 August 2006:

- 16 August 2005:

- 16 August 2004:

The dinners Sunday evening and Monday evening are outside Anacapa,
but with heat lamps scattered around the lawn,
so if you're cold you can simply stand closer to the nearest heat lamp.
For the beach barbecue Wednesday evening
you have two options:
- Bring an extra layer.
One year the Crypto conference gifts included a vest that was perfect for the beach barbecue,
but there was no hint in advance that this would happen,
so experienced Crypto attendees had already packed an extra jacket.
- Have an extra margarita at the barbecue—they're free.
Beware, however, that the walk back from the beach is quite dark with some obstacles.
